Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, Ray Dortenzo discovered his passion for interior design upon receiving his Professional Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Duquesne University. Initially, he engaged in house design, construction, and site development, but his love of the arts drew him closer to interior design.

For more than 47 years, Ray has designed, managed, directed and built interior design projects from initial conception to completion. 

Ray is known for elegant and refined sophistication with a special emphasis on comfort and livability. He combines different elements, textures, colors, and styles to produce the look that best expresses the individual’s style and taste,

Ray is an avid enthusiast of four-legged companions. His heart beats with an unparalleled passion for Irish Wolfhounds, Scottish deerhounds, and particularly, Irish thoroughbreds. 

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the design world, Ray finds solace in the tranquility of barns, fields, and farms, surrounded by his beloved hounds and majestic horses. Steeplechase racing adds an extra thrill to his life, showcasing his adventurous spirit. 

You can often find him enjoying a good book, as literature holds a special place in his heart, offering an escape into worlds of imagination and wonder.
